Description
The print belongs to the portfolio of printed lithographs used as teaching tools in the Hungarian drawing schools during the last decades of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century. The prints were designed by the painter, designer and professor János Vidéky (1827-1901), the director of the Budapest Metropolitan Industrial Drawing School between 1879 and 1901. The copying of ornamental motifs was part of the beginning level of the drawing education in the period.
